This past Wednesday at Surf & Turf Bar & Grill, for the Funky Bingo pre-game set, we listened to some of the influences of Punk Rock. Such as 60's Garage Band, Bubblegum pop, and Proto-punk music in honor of Joey Ramone, co-founder of The Ramones and the part of the reason for punk rock in America, who passed on from the physical world April 15th 2001.
The one language in the known universe that has no equal is the language of Numbers, and who doesn't enjoy Three Dog Night, Smashing Pumpkins 1979, 9 - 5 by Dolly Parton, etc. The only other language besides numbers that is so important to music is Classic Rock, and while most of what we play for Funky Bingo is classic, only a select few songs can be considered true to this category. After Classic Rock hits we stayed in a classical mood with the 80's and 70's to round out the evening.
